I found the use of camera in this opening very interesting because it starts off with a medium shot and then James bond shoots his pistol at the screen and the camera shows a POV shot from the target. The whole opening is animated which makes it very interesting to watch and engages the audience.
The background music is upbeat as it is an action film and the lyrics "If you take a life, do you know what you'll get?", link to the narrative.
The narrative is made clear in the opening sequence because there's a lot of action through shooting and fighting which makes it clear that it's an action film.
The title "Casino Royale" is matched by the animated background of decks of cards and guns firing 'clubs' instead of bullets and also people breaking into diamonds.
We are also introduced to the main chracter straight away.
